Typing at home is legitimate and it is called medical transcription and I do it however before you can't even consider working from home until you have gone to a 2 year medical transcriptionist program consisting of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology etc and also you have to have really good english skills. Then after you finish school you still wont be ready to work at home because what they teach you in school is helpful but not real and you need to work around other people in order to get help and learn. Most medical transcriptionists at home get paid by the work they do so, you really want to be experienced so you can get work done to make money. Also, you cannot work at home and watch children. You need full attention to your work because you only get paid what you do and like my job can tell when I am not typing. So it is possible but it takes time to get there.

I was the same way. I had all day sickness. I did go to work however at the beginning I had to use all of my sick days because I was so sick that I couldn't get out of bed. I then started getting better as the time went on. Towards the end however I had to go from full time to part time because I then was sick as well. This time around( being pregnant) it was the same with vomitting however I am far more tired and can hardly get around. I had to switch from full time to part time already and I am only 6 months along. Good luck

What are some ways you can supplement your income from working at home?
I work part time and I'm a part time law student. I have to spend large quantities of time at home studying, and my employer won't give me any additional hours at work. The economy here in Michigan is the worst in the country, so I'm afraid if I quit my job and try to get a new one I'll end up unemployed for months because jobs here are VERY scarce. Anyway, I thought about trying to get a second "real job" maybe an extra day and a half per week, but I live in a rural area that is a considerable distance from most civilization, and with gas at $3.25 a gallon out here, plus state, federal, and town income taxes, and a very light workload, I calculated out that I would pretty much be working for free. Given all of this, and since I often have to stay at home to study anyway, is there anything I can do working from home just to supplement my income? Does anyone know of anything just to make a few extra dollars to help pay the bills? Something legal and NOT a scam?

How do you function/deal with the nausea/lightheadedness...and so on at work/home?
I just would like to know how other pregnant women with bad pregnancy symptoms function at work or do you even go to work? I have been taking diclectin for my nausea since I am nauseous like 24/7, but then it makes me feel completely drowsy and I can barely function.

Where can I find a legitimate work at home part time job?
I'm looking for a part-time work at home opportunity that is legitimate and real and not a scam. It'd be great if they payed hourly but not required.

Hi Susan -

You are right to be concerned about scams.

The issue is that alot of the work from home "jobs" out there are actually work from home businesses. There is a huge difference between these two things.

If you are wanting a true work from home job, be aware that many time you will be competing with people from all over the world. People in places like India and the Philippines have great English skills and will work for pennies on the dollar.

My advice is to decide what you really want.

If you are looking for serious income you will probably need to start your own business from home.

If you just want to pick up some freelance work, I recommend Odesk http://tinyurl.com/desowk . There are thousands of different jobs available.

Have fun, and good luck hon!

Hi! I make my living by working online as I am a disabled person. There are several freelance websites that post freelance data entry jobs. Avoid responding to ads that do not list a company name or contact information. There are many reputable freelance work forums that can provide you with work at home data entry job listings. The forums are usually free to join and provide trustworthy information. Once you have found an advertisement for a work at home data entry job, check out the company by visiting their website. You can also do an online search using the company name and visit the Better Business Bureau website to see if they have been listed as a fraudulent company.
